The Summer Course 2021 on Department of Animal Production and Technology (DAPT)

Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to join the Summer Course 2021 on DAPT: “New Normal Challenges and Opportunities: Global Interconnectivity for Animal Production” taking place from 12 – 23 July 2021. This Summer Course is co-organised by Department Animal Production and Technology, Faculty of Animal Science, IPB University.
Course Description
The main aspect of the course offered including Tropical Animal Genetics Resources, Heritage Poultry Breeds and Production, Sustainable Livestock Production, Traditional Animal Product Processing and Supply Chain of Livestock and Animal Products. Supplemantary to the main courses and practical classes, which take place at Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) Campus, you will be enriched and expanded your knowledge to experience some of the animal production practices and traditional culture based on local wisdom during ecxursion program. The course content comprasing approximately 100 hours equal to 2 credit points with detail description of 14 hours lecture: hours, : 42 hours field study, 28 hours self study and 4 hours allocated for final assesment.

Supplemantary to the main courses and practical classes, which take place at Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) Campus, you will be enriched and expanded your knowledge to experience some of the animal production practices and traditional culture based on local wisdom during ecxursion program. Schedule
Method and Output
The course will be consisted of lecture in class, field study and excursion. Lecture in class will be delivered in english using interactive learning approach through group discussion, case study and simulation. All the curriculum modules will be provided for the students in the begining of class. The courses will be conducted in DAPT by competence lecturers from DAPT and several guest lecturer from Osaka Univerity (Japan) and NCHU in their respective field of interest. Methods of learning used are active learning and student centered learning. This summer course will produce online module that will be attached in formal website.
Time and Place
The Summer Course program will be conducted during intersemester 12 – 23 July 2021 using online system.
